The OEM Carrera tail is painted (to match the body color) fiberglass with black rubber edging. There are reproduction Carrera tails that are 100% fiberglass and no rubber edging. The OEM front chin spoiler on the Carrera is all black rubber.

Ok, could somebody give me some links for places to get porsche aftermarket or OEM stuff for reasonable money? I already have a few such as pelican parts.
I'm located in Australia, by any chance does anybody know of any stores there?

Welcome to Rennlist & P-car ownership.
Here is a black coupe with 'correct' spoilers(pic stolen from evilBay). Pelicanparts sells the spoilers, but evilBay would probably be the place to buy the rear expensive one.

Staygold... sincee everybody is telling you what to do with your car, I might as well pile on.
IF you like the spoilers, put them on. It is your car and money. Many people like the spoilers so you are not doing anything negative to the car at all. I would stick with the appropriate OEM parts for your year however... non-correct parts can reduce the value of your car.
Secondly, IMHO do not update the car to C2 bumpers. This will cost thousands of dollars and reduce the value of your car. If you want to clean up the bumpers the best thing is to buy fiberglass bumbers from, for example, GT Racing. These are lighter than stock and look very clean. This is a pure bolt-on, so you can convert the car back to factory bumpers in an afternoon. Budget $750 for the parts and $500 for painting.
Bottom line, however, it is your car. If you want to paint it purple and put shark-teeth around the front, go ahead... as long as you understand the impact on resale....the point is for you to be happy.

I love look of the glass bumpers but the problem with the glass bumper is you give up all the protection. If someone taps you in a parking lot its a PITA to fix them. Not ot mention the safty you get rid of.

I think your car will look better without the spoiler. The first i did when i bought my 87 carrera was to take it off, in my opinion it gives the car a more classic look.
Good choice of car!!!

Here's a link to Pelican Parts for both the rear and front spoilers:

I have front and rear on my '86 coupe and it looks great. IMO the spoilers look best on coupes. If you do decide to upgrade, do both at the same time as only doing one or the other will effect handling at speed.

I would recommend doing both, or none at all.
Its your car so do what ever you want, but If you want easy resale and getting a good $ for your car, O.E.M. spoilers correct for the year are the way to go. If you look, you can get the rear for $500 used original, sometimes less, and a new (used are ALWAYS destroyed) front one from Pelican for a couple hundred.

I like them both but in either way I like to see them period correct spoiler or not. No one wants to sell their 911 but things happen and keep in mind - you will be removing a large portion of your possible buyers when you go 993 wings and spoilers. IMO
