Post tensioner guards vs pressure fed tensioner

i saw in tweeks tenisoner gards for $40 and the pressure fed tensioner for $440.

what are the pros and cons other than cost?

The general argument is that the tensionser guards are a temporary fix - if your chain tensioners lose tension, the guards will keep the chain from collapsing completely. However, if this happens, how would you know? Since it's not good to just run on guards, and since you wouldn't know when this happened, the guard will eventually fail or cause other damage.

The pressure fed tensioners are a more permanent fix. Though they too can evenetually fail, it will likely be long time before that happens.
