Post duty cycle in CIS

I am trying to set my duty cycle on a 1982 CIS
injection system. The books stick to 50%. But some
seem to suggest that I will have better performance if I go to a little lower duty cycle. I guess this is a bit richer mixture without control. Any advice?

Thanks
John

I guess that 50% gives the widest dynamic lambda loop range, +/- 50%.

John, I just went through this problem with my 81 SC. There is what you should do: disconnect the O2 sensor. take your car and have the CO tested. I should be about 2%. It will idle and run better this way. The O2 sensor is for emission only at idle. let me know if you have any questions. 81'SC
