Default Installing Carpet

I have received my new carpet set from Original Fit Interiors and it is really nicely done. Wow, is it intimidating opening it up and seeing all these odd shaped pieces though... Well, got it laid out and doiscovered where it all goes, and I am about to start installing it.

Any words of wisdom would really be appreciated.

The hardest part looks to be the kick panel/ map pocket area. I see the vinyl goes under the door seal for a short distance. is there a trick to fitting this area W/O destroying or replacing the door seal?

Also it looks like I have to cut tow holes in the center section, one for the shifter andone for the heater illumination. Is it OK to use the old piece for a template, or is it better to 'cut it in'?

Again, any help appreciated. I don't know what else to ask because I'm not sure how much trouble I'm in, never having done this.

I found this while looking for Original Fit Interiors -- http://www.drivewerks.com/tech/tech_...et_install.htm

Have a URL for Original Fit by chance?

Good luck with your carpet!

Gary,

Original fit does not have a web site.

You can e-mail John at original@inreach.com or call him at

Original Fit Interiors
541-459-1700

If I was going to do anything doifferently, I would have had John send me a sample to confirm colour, after we made our best guess. even after sending him a sample,we didn;t get it quite right.

And thanks for the link on carpet installation.
