No problem. Magnecor wires do not come with any keepers. I ordered the 8.5's (KV85s part #65108). What I did was drill out the hard plastic keepers and for the rubber along the fan shroud, I put a slice down the lenght of the rubber boot and wrapped it around the wire, with the slice facing up. It is very hard to get both the rubber and the wire in the slots on the two keepers that bolt into the shroud. I think what may be easier would be to get a piece of heat shield at home depot, etc., and just cut a piece big enough to cover the shroud where the wires touch on top. I'm sure the idea of the rubber is to keep heat from the fan away from the wires.

Good luck!

Default Bigger is better! Sort of...

I have used stock 7mm to 10.4mm wires and besides sprial core vs solid core they are all the same inside. No more or less conductivity, resistance or POWER. What the larger wires give you is insulation and reduced cross talk and missfire to ground. I allways go at least 8mm since the price is right and a little added abrasion protection and insulation in a nice thing to have. The only time I see 10.4mm used is on the lower plugs of a twin plug car or on a turbo where the wires tend to get cooked and where the boost presure or high commpression adds load to the ignition which amplifies the tendancy to missfire to ground. I must say though that those big fat wires do look cool though!
