Post Engine lid loose

The lid isn't seated tight enough against the frame, so when I go over bumps I can hear it moving. This is especially prevalent with the whale tail weight. So I tried to tighten the adjustment screw but it won't budge. I tried a lubricant to get into the threads and loosen it up but it still won't break free. I've used my largest screw driver. Am I missing something? Do I just need to take a torch to it? Help, this shouldn't be so difficult!

Hi,

I had a similar problem with my trunk adjusting screw. I ended up removing the catch and soaking it in penetrating oil overnight. The next day, no problem!

Good luck.
