Post Engine temp?

I recently had my wrench adjust my mixture and set my idle on my 87 3.2 because of a rich running condition (intermittent black smoke on acceleration) Afterwards I noticed a difference in engine oil temperature.

Normally my car at operating temp read about 1mm below 90 degree's celsius (1st white hash mark) on the oil temp gauge. Now, post tuneup, it runs about 1mm above 90 degrees on the guage. From researching the archives it seems leaner engines run warmer than rich engines.

So is this roughly a good operating temp for my Carrera or am I running too hot?

Thanks,
Michael

Oil temps in the range of 85 to 100 C are considered optimal, sounds like you are doing fine.
