Looking for advise - My 88 targa has 90564 miles on it (all original) and the when it has been driven for a long ride with temps in the high 90's, the clutch play changes to floor board barely disengage. It doesn't slip in gear - just feels like the adjustment changes at least 2 to 3 inches of foot travel. I'm thinking it's time for a clutch replacement. My mechanic (and I'm not one) has an RS flywheel for a lightwieght clutch for $150. your thoughts?
Tnx in advance

My two-cents worth: Keep a wonderful, stock car stock for as long as you can! If the car were mine I would not consider using anything other than original parts.

Thanks for the input Peter. I was thinking the same way. This car does not use any oil or smoke at start up. It's due for a 90K service now so with a little luck (and a new clutch) it will go another 90K easy
