Right - at Pelican we usually try to ship things like that out 2nd day or next day, and usually just charge for the ground shipping...

Sometimes you do get burned though. With so many products (we actually carry more items for Porsche than Performance, although they have a lot more items total if you include Trucks, Mercedes, etc.) it's sometimes tough to keep the supply-chain well lubed. We've dropped the ball on B-day presents, etc. when we had trouble getting something from a supplier (varsity jackets are a bad one there - especially at Christmas). We usually try to call to let the customer know, but sometimes we don't know they really, really need it by a certain date. It helps if they make a note in the comments field, then we can flag it in our system. At least at Christmas time, you can kindof guess the date that they absolutely need it by and work back from there...
