I felt like spending a little time in my garage on an easy car project, so I decided to get to the the bottom of the heavy haze on the inside of my stock headlights. The headlights were like that when I bought it from the previous owner 2 months ago. I figured fixing it would be easy, I was right.
I merely removed each headlight assembly from the vehicle, then each bulb. I turned the assembly upside down and poured some windex in through the bulb hole, and swished it around a bit. Then repeated with hot water.
I then took a few wooden shiskabob sticks and taped a cotton ball to the end of each one. I used this to swab around on the lens, again through the bulb hole. I then rinsed it again with warm water. Voila! Like new!
It's important to let the assemblies really dry out before putting the bulbs back in and reinstalling on the car. Any trapped moisture will cloud the lens again.
Just thought I'd share...
