I went to Stuttgart this September and visited the Porsche and Benz Museum and also joined the Porsche factory tour. English or German speaking tours are available, but at different times and dates.
Visit the Benz Museum if you haven't been there before. It's an amazing place to visit. The depth of Benz models housed in the museum is simply impressive. The restaurant next to the gift shop is very good too.
