Question 88 carrera cab front end hum ,intermittent

Hi,
I recently had the 30k done on my 88 cab (over due at 36k) at Dave White's in Tampa, FL. I told the wrench to check out my front right wheel bearing cause I was getting some midrange hum and slight vibration when the steering wheel is at nuetral or just slightly turning left. He checked it out and found nothing.

He did say the car was "excellent"

It seems to happen more after the car warms up. I don't think I'm dragging a brake, I don't smell anything. The car has sat alot over the last ten years. It is intermittent?
any ideas?

Are you sure you're not just hearing the oil cooler fan (located in right fender behind headlamp) coming on? Of course, that wouldn't explain the vibration you've described.

Slight brake drag can cause a low freq hum. If you apply a slight steering movement it is silenced.

get up to speed on an isolated road, then turn the key off (don't lock the steering!!!) and move the wheel one way then the other and see if the humming varies, and it it is in the front or rear. That would mean wheel bearing
