You might change the check valve at the bottom of the washer nozzle. Those things can stick shut.

Funny, I've never, ever even tried mine. I've no idea why I haven't, other than I don't want fluid spraying on the car, but I assume mine doesn't work after so many years. Plus, I enjoy washing mine everytime I take her out.

I never tried it except once being caught by surprise in light rain, hit the washer and noticed after awhile the passenger side was wetter than the driver side. Then didn't confirm until the car was ready to be washed.

While diagnosing my own washer pump not working, I read about the intermittent washer with interest. The engine was at Motor Meister (another story in itself) for 2 years, and I had forgotten many of the little bits about the car. I was surprised some folks had this little round ****, yet I did not have one on my car. With interest, I read the manual, sure enough; I do have an intermittent washer ****. Go figure. And it works.

My problem, the pump washer would not work; when I pull the stalk, I get 3.6 volts, not 12.
- checked the pump, it works (probably worked all along, I just didn't test it before I pulled it)
- couldn't find the fuse, although keep hearing about the fuse/relay
- Disconnected the hoses, blew into them hard (that was silly) no results; put the hoses back
- put 12 volts onto the + of the pump while connected, surprised a bit that the wiper moved; and fluid pumped out of all the jets (right over the car I might add.)
- re-checked the stalk: seems the washer works on pull in 3, 2, 1, but not 0.
Go figure. Will most likely just leave it as it is.
