1- what are the differences (if any) between a coupe and cab dash from 89-94?
(are they actually interchangeable?)
2- can a non-black dash (vinyl) be dyed black with reliable (i.e. quality) results?
(if so, what products have proven themselves to be worthwhile?)

Your question is so unusual I suggest that you call your closest Porsche dealer and have a parts guy do a part number search for the different cars. If the number's the same, the dash is the same. Re: Dyed interior - I've had some luck but haven't done any dyeing for many years. I've never been brave enough to do a dash top (sun, heat, etc.)...
