whatever floats your fathers boat, It wouldn't be my choice by any means, but if your father paid less than what he was asking, he got a deal (?) for the fact that im sure there is that much in the body kit/work and paint alone.

BTW the last 930 motor I built cost the guy $22K dollars turn key in the car to give you some perspective.

But please, do your father a favor, get him to lower the car so the tires/wheels fit better in the wheel because the ride height looks out of place

I hear what your saying, but it really cant go much lower without scraping the front on everything in sight.

Not really my taste either. I think the car has gotten so far away from the porsche look with the head lights that it losses its charm. I can see its appeal though as a unique tricked out hot rod.

"7 years ago he shipped a 911 Turbo Cab shell to Anziano's Bad Boy Cars in Santa Ana California to undergo its first stages of revitalization."

If it's a 1977 how the hell is it a 911 Turbo Cab Shell?

This car is about 3-4 million miles from my taste too.

Geez, what a buzz kill you guys are! I think he was just looking for a couple of, "Wow, that a pretty neat car" comments.

I think it's cool that your dad likes to play with Porsches, and even cooler that you share the interest. The car is unique, and I'm sure he'll have fun telling everyone about the "coast to coast " rebuild thing. Porsche guys love stories about who restored them, modified them, etc.. Good luck (to your dad) with his new-to-him Porsche!

I'm a traditional kinda guy, but I dig it... very original. most p-car guys will turn their noses up at that ride but I think its interesting and definately original. Just watch out for the fuzz... they'll be all over you like flies on ****.

It's certainly a head turner. I quite like it if I excuse the color and the headlights. It's all a matter of taste I guess. I'm sure it goes like stink. Enjoy the ride!

Wow!!! I would REALLY have to very drunk to buy THAT car for THAT asking price. Your dad must have not really looked the car over before he bought it, because he might have said "oh ####". Just a thought

when it comes to taste, there is no regard, to each his own.

a 77 2.7 targa becomes a turbo cab with a ton of body work and money.

if I had gazillions of dollars, i would have a 993 Turbo S cab made in guards red, thats my bag. wouldn't be original but would be cool none the less IMO. sounds like a P-chop project!

some of you guys were a little harsh, if its not your thing, no need to rain on his parade, if he bought it, he must like it

While this body kit/car is not my cup of tea, I can appreciate the work that has been done to it (if it's all top notch work). Maritime Blue (used in '92 if I remember correctly and maybe on the 993 series too) is a stunning color in person and these eBay pics don't do that color much justice.

I would bet in the proper lighting and in the right setting, this car would photograph pretty well. If a person would want such a car with this type of body kit, it would cost quite a bit to duplicate it.

Enjoy it!

Just note that there are many ways to say something and I think your comment was clearly lacking in tact.... when somebody pays hard earned money for the car of their dreams what is so wrong with that?
