I agree -- mos here are too harsh.

Remember when a guy says "what do you guys think of my car" they don't _really_ want to know in blinding honesty -- any more than when your woman asks you "do I look fat in this dress?" ....

You can be a little more honest in the first example -- but not brutally.

Nice car, I can easily see how you and your father fell in love with this car, enjoy it!

Kind regards,

I like it and hope you and your Dad enjoy it for many years! Remember, if your Dad is pleased with the car, then that is all that matters, and not someone elses criticism.
regards,
Steve

Ditto on "opinions & harsh words". I remember something about "different strokes for different folks". If your father loves it, that what counts. Some idiots don't even like Porsches!

I'm sure he will enjoy the car.

I think it's awsome! I especially like the leather over the roll bar.

I do have to agree that Maritime blue IS a cool color, and custom or no, that is one BAD mf. I too, really like the leather covered rollhoop. That being said, it seems like your dad got a really cool car IF he paid near the opening bid.

I seriously doubt the seller's claim of $74,000 in body work- that's just total bull**** when you consider the less-than-perfect seams on the rear taillight panel that Jeremy pointed out. I don't care if the ghost of Prof. Porsche made the body kit, it's not worth 74 grand! It doesn't change the fact that the car just smooth-*** ROCKS for what your dad (hopefully) paid for it. Make no doubt, it looks badass. And fettish properties (antiques, comics, records, and yes PORSCHE's) tend to have the value that the would-be buyer places on them. In other words; if he likes it and didn't sell his home to buy it, then good for him. I'm sure with one firm stab on that loud pedal all the naysayers here would change their tune...

something tells me that hair dryer makes lots of noise, I've built and driven some very, scary fast single turbos, last one I built would murder a 996TT quite easily even with its turbo lag.
