Default Finally got it ...the track meister

Hi all!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a thread regarding advice for a 74 track car, and I wanted to thank all of you who chimed in with all the useful info...your collective experience was invaluable! So much so that I ended up reverting to my original plan of finding a good SC for my track car. Well I got it! ...an 82 with a (documented) bottom/up rebuild, clean 915 w/LSD, 7/8 Fuchs, SSIs, and a few choice suspension goodies. It's also Pacific Blue, an absolutely beautiful color IMO.

In addition to appreciating all of your advice here, I'd like also to publically thank Steve W. up at Rennsport and Dave B. at TRE. Thank you both for your generosity for lending your time and expertise as I ambled about looking for the right one. On the one hand, you two are responsible for making me spend more than I had planned , but on the other you both have given me piece of mind in finding a good car that will save me in the long run. It's no wonder that you both enjoy the reputaion that you do...Thanks!

I'll eventually post pics (raining now). Looking forward to getting to know some of you here... Take care, all!

Thanks, guys!

Eric,
Pics forthcoming (car's dirty and it's raining!)

Jeremy,
Yes, bought Speeder's car.

fixnprsh,
Hey, thanks again for all that advice on previous threads. As you can see, I abandoned the hunt for a 74 and just went for a solid SC. Looking forward to seeing out there, as well!

...now just the smog issue looms....

Hey, I've been a passenger in that car at Willow. It's solid.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for chiming in! Part of my decision was due to the actual folks who had given this car the thumbs up. Other than Dave and Tyson, of course, there was Otto, and now you who have driven/ridden in it. I appreciate your vote of confidence in the car...now if only the new owner can live up to it's reputation.
Looking forward to meeting you and others out "there."

Edward
