Post to oversteer or not

This is the setup.'84 911 2600lbs 22mm front torsion bars, 22mm factory swaybar, 7"x16 with 205's; 28mm rear torsions, 21mm factory swaybar, 9"x16 with 245's. Bilstein R5001 front and 0975 in the rear. Will going to a smaller diameter front torsion bar create more or less oversteer? All else staying equal. Porsche dials in understeer in it's road car setup, don't they? The 22/28 torsion bar combo seems to keep the same balance, front to rear spring rate, as the original 18.8/24.1 setup.
Thanks.

JPA:

Installing smaller torsion bars (softening the front springs) will creat more oversteer, all things being equal.

Same net result would occur if you increased the rear torsion bar size.

BTW, you have a nice setup.

All you need to finish that all off properly is a set of adjustable swaybars front and rear that will:

1) Allow you to set the understeer/oversteer balance of the car and fine-tune that to your taste and skills.

2) Allow you to install adjustable droplinks which permit MUCH more accurate corner balancing than the OEM swaybars. The stock bars always have some preload that simply cannot be dialed out due to their attachment design and you really should have adjustable droplinks at all 4 corners to retain the benefits of an accurate corner weighting job.

Hope this answers your question.
