When I took my car out it started as usual without a hitch. Went to the store and parked on a small incline, with the car facing up. When I went to start the car it would not start. Cranked OK - almost fired up then nothing. After cranking numerious tries and letting it sit a bit she finally started. When it started it did not fire up immediatly, rather slowly while cranking the started.
I believe I noticed this once before several months ago, again parking on the same angle on a slopped driveway. Any ideas what the problem could be?
I can't believe I left the car description out of my original post. It is a 1978 911 SC coupe with 90k miles. As an update after driving it again I am not sure the problem is related to the car being parked on an angle as I had it parked in my drive at an opposite angle and the same problem.
It appears to happen sporadically when the car is warm. First cold start no problem.
