Mixed tires a problem?
Another thing to consider is the age of the SP8000s. I understand that they haven't been made for a while. If you've ordered new ones, they may be someone's old inventory. They were considered pretty good street summer tires some 5-7 years ago, but there are really good options for under $100/tire to replace them. If you don't know how old they are - put on by previous owner, for example - you probably should dump them and put four new ones of the same type and brand. That's my scenario - SP8000s all around that are at least 3 or 4 years old. They have some tread life left, but I will be replacing all of them in the spring (w/ Yoko AO32R). I found them to be very squirrelly on the track when hot. There have been lots of threads about older tires and need to replace them if they're at the 3-5 year old mark.
