Was there a 76 911 model that came with 4 piston brakes on the front? If not, when was the first model that did? I am trying to find a replacement master cylinder for my 74 after i upgraded to '76 S spindles and got the Brembo brake kit.
Thanks in advance.

I think the 930 from 78 was the first US model and the 73RSR 2.8L had them too. Steve at www.rennsportsystems.com can hook you up

1978 was the first year for the 930 to get 4 piston brembos...1989 C4s were the first 911s to get them. If you have 76 spindles and S calipers these are 2 piston calipers...not four...and S caliper had a larger piston and was made out of Alum.
A brembo brake kit (like on a 930) should use a 23mm m/c though if this is what you have

Lots of brake information here
No
There were lots of earlier race and special models that did use them. Closest to a street car was the '74 Carrera 3.0RS
The non boosted 23.8mm m/c that you want is an ATE model. It's best to buy a kit which will include a new correct length rod and some small plastic elbows that greatly facilitate the install, contact Steve Weiner for the kit. If he is out of stockthere are other options.
Nota Bene/FYI etc. all 911 2 piston front calipers whether M, A, or S always used 48mm pistons.
