Post 911SC FAQ

I've been working on a 911SC FAQ, and before posting it in the FAQ section, I'd like to invite any comments and suggestions for any changes to it. It's currently in document form, and can be read at

http://members.rennlist.com/sansho/911scfaq.doc

You can post comments here or email me with any thoughts. Also, since I don't have a digital camera, if you have any pictures that would help illustrate specific points, particularly to help a 911SC newcomer or potential owner, please email them to me.

Thanks!

Very Nice Bill...
I can appreciate that alot! I'm sure it will come into use alot with myself, the eternal SC lover who can't find a real quality car I like (yet!!!!). I'm glad it's taking me a while to find my sc. It gives me time to absorb alot more info like this!
Kudos Bill!
Best,
Pete

Very nice. The only thing I would change is the format. Not everyone has Microsoft Word, and you should be able to save it either as a text (.txt) file, or as HTML from Word. Both formats can be opened by a browser, without requiring to launch Word.

Nice Work.

Tom

Very well done, Bill. An excellent resource for SC owners (and would-be owners).

Pete, I just went to the Pomona swap meet this Sunday and saw at least 4 perfect sc's. These were cars with minor flaws and next to perfect interiors without a trace of rust. This is pre PPI of course, but I have been around 911's enough to know a good one when I see one. All for around $14. Too bad you weren't there.

Pete

Great FAQ Bill! One additional upgrade you might mention is of the trombone oil cooler.
You might also add a section for the "new" Porsche owner and the must haves - like a 13Q capacity oil pan! Maybe even a maintenance section to cover normal scheduled oil changes and the valve adjustments, in terms of effort or cost.
