L8:
I hope this works out. You'll end up with the deal of the century on a car I think everyone of us would love to have. A 72 "S", SWEET!

JCP: GREAT story! My father-in-law suggested that I could buy a one-way airplane ticket from Santa Fe to Colorado Springs and just drive it back, but I didn't have the gonads like you did!!!

Thanks Mark, I hope it works out too. Can't wait to start budgeting and getting estimates on having the work done! But first I want to drive it a little bit and get an idea of how well the car is sorted out. I can already tell it needs new shifter bushings and I'll probably have to rejet the carbs due to the change in altitude. Probably went from around 7000 ft in Santa Fe to 1200 feet here in Ark.

L8,

I'm cracking up looking at your new .sig that shows your 72S (Finally!). Apparently Rennlist was prescient because all your previous posts now have the 72S in them as well!!! I was looking back to see your original post that talked about the 72S the first time to see what we know about it since there is no PPI data, and noticed your .sig was already declaring your new car!! Pretty funny...

I wonder what new car Rennlist has in mind for me?! LOL

Yeah, I guess Rennlist was glad that I finally made up my mind! Probably starting to worry that I'd never buy a car and consume all of the available memory that its servers had left just talking about cars that I could POSSIBLY buy!

At least my car search was limited to 911's. :-)

I probably WOULD have been kicked off of Rennlist if I was posting to ask if I should buy a low mileage 928, restorable 356, early 911, or salvaged rebuilder Cayenne! Or what about a 997 with the trick ceramic brakes? There's just no help for someone with that dilemma!
