Smile Clutch Cable Transmission Support

Hi Folks,

I have an 86 Carrera with the 915 transmission w/135k miles on it. Heard something snap today, and lost my clutch pedal return. It sits about 1/2 way from where it should be, and now I can't engage the clutch to drop it in gear. I noticed that a part of the clutch cable mount on the transmission near the drain port has broken off so the cable is not firmly attached to the transmission anymore. There's still movement in the clutch release lever when I press the clutch in all the way but I guess not enough to make a difference.

Would this account for the behavior I'm seeing?

Any thoughts, and ideas if the mount for the cable is a replaceable part and where I'd be able to find one? In the Bentley book it looks like the mount is a bolt on part?

TIA,
Ron

For anyone out there with a similar problem in the future. The bracket bolts on and is a part your can order from Porsche for less then $30.00. That did the trick for me, and the 915 is sweet again :-)
