I dont want to pay a ton but i'm interested in what other people have on their cars and would recommend for mine.
I've got
front: 205/55 ZR 16 6"
rear: 245/45 ZR 16 9"
These tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE750 (Ultra High Performance Summer) are pretty well rated, anyone have any thoughts on what tires I should get?

The recommended shocks for the 911 SC are the bilsteins, should I get those or these koni's or something else?

Thanks a ton!

I'm using those Bridgestones in the sizes listed. They seem like a good tire, but I'm not able to compare as they are the only tires that have been on the car since I bought it. And it never rains in southern California....

Hi Seth:
There are several good tires out there and the best choice depends on what YOU do with the car. Your expectations of tire life, handling priorities, ultimate grip, and all weather performance are all factors in making the best selection.
Regarding shocks,....I would strongly recommend Bilsteins over a Koni for your car.

bwaahhh.......I'm putting on toyo RA1 or Kumho victor racers. Its a weekend car here in sunny SoCal (dont you just hate us?) so I could care less about tire life as I'd rather have the grip of DOT legal race compounds. but my daily driver wears Yoko AVS ES100's and they grip like crazy and I run them in canyons regularly and they still have half thier tread at -2 degrees camber and 10K miles! I'm definatly getting another set when these are gone

I say go for the SO3s and Bilstein sport shocks. Unless your budget allows you to do coilovers, then by all means go that way.
My car has Bilstein sports and stock torsion bars. It is nice but....coilovers are pretty awsome.
Enjoy

I'm running Yokohama AVS ES100s with Bilstien HDs in front and Sports in rear (as per Steve Weiner's shock recommendation). I plan on upgrading the T-bars this winter to Sanders hollow 22/28s. The combo right now works great. I immediately noticed a difference in handling after installing the shocks.
Good Luck!

A quick note,.........
Using Bilstein Sports in front really adds ride harshness to the car so Caveat Emptor on that. Its OK for serious track work only,....![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Do not install coilovers on a 911 without installing a full cage to connect & triangulate all of the suspension pickup points together. That sheet metal was never intended to support the static and dynamic loads of the car and it need stiffening and reinforcement to prevent flexing and cracking.
A properly configured and setup car with torsion bars works VERY well,.......
