Carpet....on a roll

Pardon the pun. But after a good hood drop on the head, a bad plug, and some other things I am on a roll about fixing up the 73. I just bought brand NEW carpet for it. But I ripped the old stuff out and tossed it long ago(my pseudo RS car). Now I have NO idea on how to install this stuff or where it even goes. No instructions. Not even the kind of adhesive to use...

It's just a puzzle. I've done a couple of carpet kits, and the important thing is to figure out where all the pieces go before sticking down any.
I've had good results with 3M super 90 spray adhesive. It's $10+ a can, and you can expect to use at least 8 cans. The bonus is you get pretty high doing the installation, but it's a hell of a hangover.

Don't know if this will help but it at least shows the peices in position.

For an adhesive, I would suggest the Mercedes glue, part no. A 000 989 82 71. It seems to be the same stuff that Porsche uses. The 3M stuff is the best for the engine pads, but it's a little too aggressive for the carpet. You can reposition, a little, with the Mercedes stuff. Also, you brush it on, and that makes for a cleaner job. It's great for Targa tops and trim, too.
I recommend a dead blow, or big rubber, mallet to "fit" the carpet to the contours of your car.

Thanks BOB for the link.. Helped immensly.
However I am having a lot of trouble with the kick panel carpet. I just can't figure it out. It is two pieces held by vinyl and the pic doesnt help
I used 3m 90 and Mercedes glue. both worked well
Also used 90 on the new engine sound pad.
