Post A little help on R&R'n cams - 3.0

I am changing the cams in my 78 3.0 to the 20/21v Web Cam grind. The motor had a full rebuild about 50K ago. I read through my manuals (not the factory) on the process. The process in only described in a complete engine rebuild. Can someone elaborate on the process. The motor has the updated pressure tensioners. As I understand it, I have to do the following to R&R the cams when the motor is out of the car:

Remove cam chain covers, and valve covers;
Losen the valve adjustment (or do I have to remove each of the rocker arms?);
Remove the cam nut, thrust washer, dowel pin, and sprocket w/timing chain;
Carefully slide the old cams out;
Carefully slide new cams in;
Attach the sprocket w/ timing chain, thrust washer, nut, dowl pin, etc;
Do the same to the other side;
Time the cams.
Adjust valves.

It is this straight forward or am I missing something? Anything I should replace in the cam area while I am in there?

Thanks in advance.

I do believe you will have to remove the rocker shafts. I had to to get the cams out of my 2.0L.

HI-You need to remove all the rocker arms to remove and install the cams. When timing the cams you only install #1 and 4 cylinder intake rocker arms to do the timing.
