I recently purchased a 1975 911 Carrera and was wondering if anyone might have an idea of the horsepower output with all of the smog equipment removed including the thermal reactors and SC style heat exchangers in place. I know the factory spec on the 75 (US-California) is listed as 165hp and the ROW is 210hp. I would like to do the necessary upgrades to get to ROW horsepower from my lightweight 2.7-liter engine.
Thanks in advance

The '75' ROW Carrera used the 911/83 engine which is the same engine from the '73' Carrera RS. It has a mechanical fuel injection induction system. The engine in your car is the type 911/44 engine and it uses a K-Jetronic induction system along with retarded cams.
The HP rating would certainly improve with the removal of the smog equipment, but I think there would have to be other modifications to reach the HP rating of the 911/83 motor. The only way to know would be to take off the smog stuff and dyno test it or talk with someone who already has done it.
