I thought it was held on by two screws on the top but there are also two brass rivets that hold it on the bottom too.

I have never messed with rivets. How do you remove and install rivets?

Gotta pull the seal back and drill'em out, then re rivet them back with a rivet gun head that will fit into the glass channel. Don't know how available brass rivets are, I used stainless.
