Default Fuel rail, hose leaking...help.

I went for alittle drive yesterday..and not 2 minutes up the road from my place i could smell fuel...so i quickly turned around and got the car back into the garage..took a look and found that there was fuel dripping on the engine.
so i left the car overnight.
and after work today i went out and took a better look and it looks like its the hose that goes from the left fuel rail over to the right side...it starts out copper?or some kind of metal..and then there is a crimp fitting that goes into a rubber hose. well thats where its leaking at the fittings between the 2 types of hoses.

is it easy to take off / get fixed? can i buy that hose somewhere? or should i try and get one made up with the fittings at a auto shop?

if this doesnt make sence i will take a picture of the hose/where its leaking tomrrow and post it here.

thanks in-advance

You might try the Pelican parts database at their web site.

Nest time, push the car out of the garage! And wipe up all liquid gas you see to minimize fir risk or at least the size of the fire....

Carry a fire extinguisher in the car and have one handy in the garage.

Same thing happened to me..... I had someone replace all the hoses... I figured that if 1 was starting to go the other ones might be in bad shape as well.... It cost me $50 in parts and $200 in labor.
For me it was a no brainer to have it done by my mechanic.... It would have taken me a long time... plus my mechanic had the "right" high pressure hoses needed.
You would't believe the difference in performance I noticed after I got the job done. Best "upgrade" ever for me....

Good luck

johnny

my mechanic (Jim at Eurowerks) has been working on P-cars for 15 years. He said it would cost me north of $400 to get the Porsche parts. He used some other high pressure hoses he had... He said it would be silly to go OEM.... I trust him 100%. That's why I decided to have him replace all the lines... I didn't know where to go and get the hoses... Do u have a reputable P-car specialist in your area? If not are u a PCA member? Call the PCA guys in your region... they will suggest you where to take your car.

Good luck!!!
