I mean you like it right ("for") -- or did you kill his chances or something?

Has anyone considered the MSD digital box? It would seem more dependable and allow even adjustments per hole in timing advance. I actually like the Crane box and have it on 3 of my cars. Never has failed me so far.

An MSD installed in a Porsche engine compartment looks as if the Porsche is waiting
for the Chevy engine install. There are many Bosch CDIs still available and many
are still reliable after 30 years. Little to nothing is really gained by installing an MSD,
and a less reliable ignition system results, i.e. given the complexity of the MSD unit.

I thought Loren would weigh in.... He sells refurbished Bosch CDI boxes.

You would gain lower loss of $$ - I agree there is no proven performance benefit if you had a working Bosch CDI already.

If you want a set-it-and-forget-it solution, lose the distributor and go with a crank fired ignition.

All digital, no moving parts.
