Needing to replace the seatbelts Front / Rear on my 1982 911SC.
The old ones are just tired and frayed.
I want to use PORSCHE factory belts, and I want to use RED instead of BLACK.
Is this still a dealer item, or do I look elsewhere? What should I expect to pay for a full set?
Any tricks to installation? Seems pretty straight forward to me.........

I paid $125 for a very decent '88 used set 'cause I wanted the less stiff belt and I tried to repair my stock re-winder and the extremely long spring went kaa boom. there is a slight difference in the belt re-winder mounting seperate plate... So I had to re-model my stock thin steel plate w/ a die frinder. I don't know where your model year fits into this.

There was an advertiser in Pano some time ago that advertised new seat belts for all vintages of Porsches, but I haven't seen it for some time. Anyone remember it?

Many manufacturers have a lifetime warranty on seatbelts and the like basically as a goodwill gesture for the community. I know that most American MFG's will replace them at little or no cost to the consumer. It might be worth a try to see if Porsche will join suit to help you out. Worn and frayed belts are dangerous to say the least, so they might give a hand just to keep serious injuries/fatalities from being associated with their cars... Just a thought, I hope it helps.

Since we're on this subject, does anyone know of a way to retrofit 3pt belts in the rear of an SC?
