Post Comments on Use of Strut Tower Brace to stiffen 911 Cab

I've been thinking about adding a strut tower brace to stiffen my '91 C2 cab. In particular, I've been looking at the Brey-Krause line (check out http://www.9xauto.com/brace.html ). I've also heard good things about Weltmeister strut braces. I'm concerned, however, that stiffening the front box area could lead to more twisting in the passenger compartment area. Anyone have any experience they would like to share? Thanks very much for all replies.

Mr. McDonald:

Both strut braces are just fine and the decisions about whether they are appropriate for your cab is easy,....go for it!

There are no downsides to this and it will stiffen your car noticeably.

You should also consider the factory Carrera RS strut brace as well as the AJ/USA one.

They all function and do the same thing so its matter of cosmetics and price.
