If you want a focused transmission shop that is very good at what they do, Brian Copans or Bill Rader motorsports. Pull the trans, put it in a large cooler, ship it, and have them rebuild it. I've used Rader on a few occasions, highly recommended. They are fast, and good, they also have the equipment to bench test the operation before they ship these out.

Out of curiosity, what happened that you required a G50 to be rebuilt?

Am having my Porsche mechanic open up my transmission to take a look at 1st and 2nd as well as some sloppiness that I perceive in the linkage. Would be interested to hear about your experience and cost.

I realize you guys are looking for shops, and I don't blame you. Seems like a lot of DIY success with the 915, but not too many people try to rebuild a G50 in their garage.

But having said that, there is a great ongoing thread over at Pelican with a DIY G50 rebuild, including adding a Guard limited slip: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...build-g50.html
