Default Dashboard AC vents

All: As we continue to sort the 88 coupe, we now have working AC! But in addition to the noisy blower we have broken vents at both ends of the dashboard. I started to poke around on the passenger side and it looks like the unit may just be held in place with clips, but I didn't want to get all burly with it and break something. The parts drawing does little to show how these are held in place. Any insights would be appreciated!

If your vents are the little ones like the SC, disconnect them and install the new vents from Griffiths. They allow a great deal more air through. Also, they offer a mid ship bottom vent that really allows more air into the cabin.
A picture of the vents would be helpful.

The SC vents are much smaller. In 84 the dashboard arrangement improved. I'll send a phot tomorrow
