Default 1982 911 SC Idle issue

Hello I’m trying to diagnose an idle issue on my 1982 911 SC which has the o2 sensor.

Cold start the car idles fine at first but then begins to surge and idle does not stay steady. Once it warms up the idle surge makes the idle get so low that the engine dies.

I possibly thought that it might be the o2 sensor relay so I replaced that but it did not help. The strange thing is that when I unplug the o2 sensor relay the car idles fine.

If anyone has any idea please let me know. Thanks

If it will fix that easy your lucky. I had the same issue. From what I know, that's limited, there are three fuel pressure regulators. A few pounds off and you will have lots of issues.

That disables the Lambda ECU which controls the mixture via the O2 sensor. Most likely the mixture is set too rich, or the ECU has a problem.
