Default Removing A/C in SC Question

I'm currently removing the A/C components in my 83SC and need to know if there are some lines that must be cut to be removed.

Thanks ................................ Randy

Hi Randy:

Don't cut 'em!

Some kind person would buy a complete & intact A/C system from you.

Carefully remove the refrigerant lines that run from the condensers (F&R) & compressor to the evaporator. These run from the engine compartment, under the left side of the car, to the front compartment.

Randy,

I removed the entire system from an '87 Carrera without cutting any lines. Some did require some "gentle persuasion" to get them free, especially the one on the driver's side of the engine compartment. Eventually, with a combination of pulling a little from underneath, then pushing from above (then repeat again, etc.), it came out. It will help if you have some assistance on the top side as you work underneath.

Good luck,
Tom
