Hi guys, im devastated i crashed my 911 yesterday on a rainy day i lost control on the higway at 70-80 mph and hit the concrete divider on my rear drivers fender. I guess the wheel took the most damage but overall Is this something that can be fixed or?
pretty devastated…was my first 911 after years of hardwork and this happened about 4 weeks after i bought the car. 15k miles on it.
p.s
this is the only side that has been damaged, everything else is scratch free. Also it wont start - says instrument cluster failure inspection.
You will get better advice on the 992 and 991 forums. This section is focused on 911s 1989 and older.
That said, the car looks fixable. Suspension and transaxle will have to be carefully evaluated. Key point is to get into the hands of a reputable Porsche approved shop.
Mu guess is that the transaxle and suspension are damaged, body is the least of your problems. Probably need to go on a jig to make sure the suspension pick up pants are correctly aligned up.
70 mph on a wet road in a rear engine car with very little experience.. This was just an accident waiting to happen and unfortunately it did . Life lessons sure can be expensive.
Hoping it all works out for you and you can get back on the road soon.
Where are you located? You say driver's side and the picture shows damage on the right side of your car. Your profile also refers to your country as CY. Just wondering.
