Default ABS and TC light

Folks,

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum as I just bought my first Porsche. It's a 99 996, black on black with the Aero kit and and the sports seats.

Back to the original topic. I recently changed the rear lights to the ones with the clear blinkers and also the front lights to the litronics. Immediately after changing the lights, I turned the key and turned the lights on to see if I wired everythying correctly and to test the lights. Well, the lights worked but the ABS and the TC warning lights came on.

I took the car to the dealer and they are telling me that some abs pump failed a test and that the entire ABS system needs to be replaced, $3500. I refuse to believe this because like I said, there was a direct correlation between me changing the lights and the ABS and TC light coming on.

Anyone have any clues what I could do to either reset these lights or any advice whatsover????

Thanks,
Marvin
