Post Oil Tempature

After driving for a while, the oil temperature needle rises outside of the "box", especially in warmer weather. Ususally, the rpms and the druck pressure equal about the same (i.e., 3000rpm-3 bars). However, when the oil temp rises, the rpms are higher than then the bars. I checked oil level and it was ok. Any ideas?

It is normal for pressure to drop some at higher temps.

I am not sure what you mean by "outside the box". Generally if your temps are between the first tick mark and half way to the second tick mark you are fine.

Halfway to the second tick mark is about the 9 o'clock position.

If you look at an angle way to the left of tick marks you will see very small numbers that mark off the temp in celsius. You will need a flashlight to see this. Then you will know what your actual temperature is.

Unfortunately, my gauge doesn't have numbers, just the "white box".

I have the numbered guage, but if you do a little search of the board you will find a pic of your guage with numbers.

I'm not familiar with the white box; but on the oil temp dial I'm familiar with the "9 oclock" position is between the 194 degF mark and the 248 degF mark. The red mark indicates 302 degF, and the two marks close together at the bottom indicate 104 and 140 degs respectively.
