Default Check out my new Fuchs

I just had a set of 16x8 and 9.5's built for my SC. Running 225/50's and 245/45's for now. Here are a couple of pics.

Mark, you keep this up, and I might think of selling my car and buying a nice SC. Looks "tough"....yeah it does!

Freakin' HOT!!!
Details, we want details: Who, $$, donor wheel size, lip depth etc.
Pics, we want more pics. esp of those luscious deep lips.
Any rubbing issues ?

I'm feeling inadequate, with my puny 16x7,8 Fuchs

Thanks guys. Can't give too many details yet cuz we're still testing them. The fit is very good but we may make some minor adjustments on the next set. Here are a couple more shots.

What's the advantage over getting unmodified Fuchs? Besides an extra half inch on the rear?

Bill,
The backspacing is not set in stone yet. We're still working on the best fit.

sushinav,
The 951 8's are pretty hard to find and not the best backspacing for the 911 front. The 9.5's will be a better fit for some of the wider 245/45's and will accomodate a 265/45. They will likely be lighter than factory wheels as well.

All good reasons in my book. One more, why stay 16 and not go 17? 17 seems to have a greater tire fitment choice. If the price is reasonable, and the construction and weight is good, I've got a set of 6s and 7s I'll volunteer for prototype duties.

sushinav,
Pretty simple really - I like the look of the 16 on the SC/Carrera body. I think it fits the proportions better than a 17. Thanks for the offer, I'll keep you guys up on the progress.

HRE makes a wheel, their number 311 in the 340 series, that is a 3 piece wheel with a Fuchs-style paddle in 15", 16", and 17" sizes. Offsets are for pre-964's. I've seen them with the paddles done in black, and they look sharp. Here's a pic from the HRE site:

You can also get 2-piece 17's -- just not from Mark (at least, yet).
These are 8x10x17's under SC flares:

Mark, you might want to think about trying 17's as well, at some point.
