Well it seems like the brake switch and pedal aren't working together properly because you REALLY have to push the pedal down way too far to get the lights to come on and i dont think my brother ever hits them that hard because they grab really well
I pulled back some the carpet and a metal plate thingy but didn't really see what engages the brake lights
Can somewhere tell me where i should be looking?
thanks and still learning

The brake light switches are mounted on the side of the master cylinder.Located in the trunk drivers side, firewall. They are pressure activated, and when one go's the other should take over. I had the same problem about two months ago, and replaced both. Quite an easy fix.

I don't know the year of your 911, but check that the switch on the pedal cluster is also working properly.

TTT....did a little looking around and didn't see any switches in the trunk near the firewall.
I did find an a screw that looks like an adjuster on the brake pedal and also a switch connected to it that looks worn out
next time i'll take a picture, i need to have him buy a manual for it
