Post Hood shocks

After having the broom knocked out by an unsuspecting shoulder and using my head as a hood latch, I will change my hood shocks in the 73. Passenger side done in about 30 sec. Driver side......Holy Sh%^%&$T How in the hell do I get that swapped out?? I can get the clevis out and MAYBE the pin, but how do I get it back in . There is all kinds of tubes, and other stuff in the way....

It's pretty tight in there. I have seen a small nut and screw used to replace the pin, might be a little easier.

Use long needle nose pliers or long hemostats.

I used the long hemostats (12") and it took about 3 minutes to do the driver's side.
