Default Heater Lever Contact Installation

Hi All,
I have a 1984 911 Cab. I decided to pull the seats to clean them up a bit. Since I was there I decided to pull the heater control unit as well to have a look around. Seemed on my last ride or two in November I couldn’t get any heat. I though maybe one of the cables was loose or something. I have to mention here that I have the manual version with two red levers and a 4 position switch. When i pulled the unit I found the heater lever contact switch was there but not connected to anything. It has two yellow with black wires and I can see that it has two small copper contacts within it. Well, search as I have I cannot find where the damn thing attaches. I have searched the internet at large, consulted the Bentley manual and the Rennlist, checked listings on eBay hoping to find some photos and cannot find a photo of how/where it goes. Anybody have an ideas or photos? Instructions? Needless to say this is driving me crazy and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Frank
