Default Importing 1972 911

Hello I’m considering purchasing a 72 911 from Europe. My first concern is how can I minimize the risk of being scammed. How difficult is it to register in California? The car looks like it has been completely rebuilt, only thing he recommends is getting the MFI tuned. Any advice, recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Happy holidays!

getting mfi "tuned" usually means that it is worn out and needs to be rebuilt, figure 3500 at least. There are too many good cars here, than to suffer a european formally rusted rust bucket that has been reconditioned. If you insist check out the seller and have it checked by someone who knows. We know people in england, belgium germany austria and france who can check the car for you

Dr.914 do you have a guy in Lithuania? The car seems like it has been professionally restored but would like to be checked out before committing.
