Question 1976 2.7 thermal reactors

I have an stock 76 911s with the dreaded 2.7 engine and I want to remove the thermal reactors. Can anyone tell me exactly what they look like, and how to remove/gut them? Are they internal to the heat exchangers? Any help is appreciated

look at the engine from the bottom-see the cylinders? The T/reactors are bolted to the cylinders.Put on a set of SSI`s and a Bursch and you`re done
