Unhappy Clutch Frustration

I have a 1978 Porsche 911SC Targa. I rebuilt my pedal assembly. I replaced the clutch cable, omega spring, clutch release lever, clutch positioning arm, clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. I put the engine back in and adjusted the clutch release lever assembly gapped the positioning arm and clutch release lever to 1.2mm. Adjusted the clutch cable until the gap was reduced to 1.0mm. When I step on the clutch pedal it does return to the norm position. I cannot figure out what is causing the clutch not return to the normal position. Anyone with a solution to this problem would be sincerely appreciated.

the first thing i would check is that the clutch helper arm is moving freely on its shaft and not binding. This is a fairly common issue as the seal degrades and you get water in there... if it starts to bind it will be very difficult to adjust the clutch. as it keeps closing the 1.2mm gap as it is not returning.
