Any one know good place to buy a DME for 87 911 (US version)

hey amigo,l was looking for one a while back too,the cheapest l found was from Vertex in Florida.l tried Ebay and several dismantlers also.l didn`t need one in the end as mine checked out okay.There`s a guy on this forum, the imfamous" lorenfb" who may be able to help you with that.His business deals with the diagnosis/repair of those units and he checked mine out for me,free of charge.Don`t ask about non-stock DME units though,he only deals with the factory stuff.good luck with it

Thanks Raceman, mine just work intermitten, the issue was car stalled twice in a month, once I cleaned the DME connector and car start fine, yesterday car stalled again. I can not get the car to restart, towed to the shop, and the Porsche shop said it's bad, swapped out with a loaned DME and start fine

May be DME connectors got contaminated or corroded, cracked solder join .....
