Problems with Fidanza flywheel in an '82 SC !?!
Has anyone installed a Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel in an SC successfully?
We're running into a clearance issue between the back of the flywheel (which is flat) and the case material at the bottom where the bolt goes through.
Anyone BTDT?

I just bought a Fidanza Flywheel. I am having clearance issue as well. I decided to sand out the lower part of the casing just enough to create a clearance. I am proceeding very cautiously. I will post result.

Yeah, same problem.......the supplier told me this was common and to angle-grind the block to get the clearance required. Said that it was no big deal.........I was out of the country at the time my mechanic ran into this problem and he went ahead and put the vehicle back together with the old Flywheel before I could get back to him, presuming it was the wrong one, as I did initially.
So, I intend to take another look at it next time I'm due for a clutch.
Let us know how the vehicle idles and performs if you manage to get it fitted, if you don't mind.
