Greetings!
I am trying to verify that I do indeed have the correct engine for a 1965 model. The engine number is 6195044. The reason I am inquiring is that I found out that the lower rocker cover towers had been upgraded when I tried to fit replacement gaskets (I have the 11 stud variety as opposed to the original 6 bolt).
Thanks!

Greetings Back:
The following information is from "The 911 & 912 Porsche, A Restiorers Guide to Authenticity" by B. Johnson.
The engine designation 6195001 and up is for a 1968/1969 911T..
The book shows that 1965 911 engine numbers, from Jan to June 1966 are 900361 - 903550.
I hope this helps.
